Fall
Fall is by far the most colorful season at the Inn. Beginning in
mid-September, the birch, maple, oak, cherry and other hardwoods turn the
region into a splendid display of foliage colors. Biking and hiking are a
special treat during this time of year. Golfing remains available u sually
through mid-November. The Audubon Society’s car touring route passes right in
front of the Inn, if you like to drive, or you can simply enjoy one of the
areas many fall foliage festivals.
Fall is also a time to get one last kayak run on the Lehigh River or to catch
the native trout that have eluded spring and summer anglers.
Nights are definitely cool, but you will enjoy relaxing next to one of our
outdoor chimenia fireplaces near our waterfall. Use one of our telescopes to
explore your favorite star; there are no city lights here to obstruct your
view.
